Your application should consist of a one-page cover letter and a two-page resume. We will of course want to know your academic results, and you should highlight any special academic achievements.
Extra-curricular activities are also important to us, so make sure you tell us about any positions of responsibility or particular achievements. Keep your cover letter brief, but do tell us why you are interested in strategy consulting, why OC&C, and highlight the main reasons we should choose you.
OC&C Greater China also offers internship placements in Hong Kong and Shanghai to outstanding, action-driven candidates each summer. Undergraduates, graduates and MBA students are all welcome. They will join the team full-time, serving clients on projects and gaining first hand experience of the world of consulting.
In general, we expect applicants to be able to work easily in a Mandarin (Putonghua) environment (and obviously read Chinese). Since the team works on day-to-day basis with the clients' middle management and working teams, the ability to communicate in their native language is important for information collection and relationship building. The ability to read Chinese is also important as most data sources are usually in Chinese. However, as most of our clients are multinational companies, our recommendations are usually delivered in English, making the ability to write in Chinese less critical.
